Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Internvest is run by Internvest, Inc., a Delaware corporation. This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you use our website, apps, emails and other services (the "Services"). It applies together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use the Services, and information we receive from others:

• Account and profile information: your name, email address, school and the other details you choose to add, and your sign-in credentials. Passwords are stored by our sign-in provider in hashed form. If you sign in with another account, such as Google, we receive basic profile information from it, such as your name, email address and profile photo.
• Your prep and activity: for example your practice results, the openings and firms you save or track, your goals and targets, your notes and your settings.
• Purchases and billing: your plan, your purchases (coaching and gifts included, with a gift recipient's email address and your message), payment status, and any discounts, codes or credits applied. Card details go to our payment processor and never reach us; it sends us a confirmation of each payment with the name, email address and billing location you gave.
• Referral and reward information: the referrals you make or receive, the rewards they earn, such as commissions or account credits, the details needed to pay or apply them, and information that helps us prevent abuse of referrals, such as a code that identifies the card that paid (never the card number).
• Communications: messages you send us, your sign-ups for the Internvest Briefing and our other emails, and your email preferences.
• Usage and device information: your IP address and the approximate location it indicates, your browser and device type, the pages and features you use and the actions you take in the Services, how quickly pages load, and error reports. We collect some of this through cookies and similar technologies (section 5).
• Information from others: for example from a sign-in provider, from our payment processor, or the referral code or link you used.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• provide, maintain and personalize the Services, including your plan, tracker, alerts and practice;
• process payments, gifts, coaching, discounts, referrals and rewards;
• communicate with you, including messages about your account and purchases and, where permitted, newsletters, updates and offers;
• understand how the Services are used, measure performance, fix problems, and develop and improve features;
• protect the Services and our users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms;
• comply with the law and respond to lawful requests; and
• for other purposes we describe when we collect it, or with your consent.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with service providers that run parts of the Services for us, such as hosting and its request logs, our database, sign-in, payments, email delivery, product analytics, error monitoring and our own mailboxes. They receive the information their work needs. Our payment processor also handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

We also share it at your direction or with your consent, for example with a coach you book, or with an employer, recruiter, school or other organization when you choose to connect with them or ask us to share your information; with the member who referred you, who may see limited information about the referral, such as whether it led to a sign-up or a payment and the reward it earned them; when the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, Internvest and others; and as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of our business.

Organizations that provide your seat. If a school, club, department or employer provides your Internvest access, its owners and advisors can see your name, email, class year and chosen paths; the openings you saved or applied to and their stage, with firms and dates; your upcoming deadlines; your practice activity (drill sessions, questions answered, accuracy by topic, modeling cases and SIE practice); your diagnostic result and whether you have a study plan; how many alert rules you set and when you were last active. They cannot see your billing, settings or sign-in details, what you typed in a drill or mastery attempt, any AI transcript, or notes you keep on an opening. Internvest shows you this list when you take the seat and in Settings, and marks the shared surfaces. You can leave the organization at any time from Settings; your account and progress stay yours.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you, for example statistics about recruiting timelines or how members use the Services, and use or share it for any purpose. We do not try to re-identify it.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as your account is open and, after that, for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, for example to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and enforce our agreements.

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings, or by contacting us. When you do, any subscription is cancelled at once, and we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except what we must or may keep for the reasons above, such as payment, purchase, gift and referral records; copies may remain in backups for a limited time. If something you paid for has not been delivered yet, such as a coaching session, we may ask you to resolve it first. Deleting your account cannot be undone, and it ends any unused account credit and any referral rewards not yet credited or paid.

7. Your choices and rights

• Emails: newsletters and other marketing emails each have an unsubscribe link, and you can turn product emails off in your account settings. Messages about your account and purchases are sent whatever you choose, because they concern your account.
• Cookies and analytics: see section 5.
• Your information: you can review and update much of it in your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or limit some uses of it. To make a request, email us from the address on your account. We respond as the law that applies to you requires, and we may need to verify your identity first.
• Consent: where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits; this does not affect what we did before.
• Concerns: write to our Privacy Officer (section 12); we will look into it and reply. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator where you live.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as encrypted connections and limited access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Where we process information

Internvest is operated from the United States and designed for users in the United States and Canada. We and our service providers process and store information in the United States and in other countries where those providers operate. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post them on this page with a new "Last updated" date at the top, so please check this page from time to time. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, the updated policy applies to you.
